Chairman’s Message 2025
Dear Esteemed Members of the International Aviation Fire Protection Association (IAFPA),
As we step into 2025, I extend my warmest wishes to each of you for a year filled with success, resilience, and renewed commitment to our shared mission—enhancing airport fire protection and safety across global aviation.
The past months have been challenging, with the unfortunate air crashes in December 2024 in Washington and January 2025 in Jeju, South Korea reminding us of the critical importance of our work. These accidents serve as a sobering call to press on in our relentless pursuit of higher aviation safety standards, stronger emergency preparedness, and unwavering dedication to saving lives. I urge every member to remain steadfast in advancing safety measures at our airports and beyond.
This year is particularly special for us as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of IAFPA—a significant milestone in our journey since we first started in the UK. In commemoration of this achievement, I am pleased to announce the launch of our new and improved IAFPA website, designed to better serve our members and reinforce our global network as we move forward into the future.
Additionally, I am delighted to invite all of you to our 25th Anniversary Conference, taking place in Singapore from 7-9 October 2025. More details to follow shortly. This landmark event will be an opportunity for us to reflect on our progress, share knowledge, and chart the course for the next era of aviation fire protection. Your presence and participation will make this occasion even more meaningful.
Let us continue to stand together, supporting each other and working tirelessly to uphold safety in aviation. May 2025 be a year of breakthroughs, collaboration, and progress for us all.
Wishing you and your families a safe, prosperous, and fulfilling year ahead!

Cletus MJ Packiam
